Baure
In our documentation project we seek to collect as many audio and video data as possible, from different speakers (age- and gender-wise), also the three different dialects of Baure. All data will include a transcription and morphosyntactic analysis of the text and a description of the setting. These data will be stored and made accessible in the DoBeS archive. Transcription languages are English and Spanish. With our data we will also produce a dictionary, which is intended to be used online, as well as in the form of a book. In the field we try to involve the Baures, especially young people, as much with the project as possible. Therefore two students have a computer they can transcribe data on, and a recording device for their own data collection. In addition our team started giving classes to youngsters and children. All material produced within the project have the potential to serve future teachers of the local schools. In Germany there are also temporary student assistants or students absolving an apprenticeship, who help us go through the collected data, cut videos and keeping an overview.
