Neuroscience labs
Much of the Language in Action research is conducted in the MPI and Donders Institute neuroscience labs. We have a 128-channel EEG lab at the MPI, and several more EEG labs as well as a whole-head 275 channel MEG system, MRI-scanners at 1.5,
3 and 7 Tesla, and a TMS-lab are available at the Donders Institute, Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging (CCN).
Virtual reality lab
We are currently building up an on-site Virtual Reality lab, which
will allow us to study complex communication while keeping tight
experimental control over important variables.
Behavioural labs
Because we aim to explain communicative behaviour, evidence from behavioural paradigms is often highly relevant as well. We conduct such experiments in the well-equipped behavioural labs at the MPI.
More information on our labs is available elsewhere on the website, both for prospective experiment participants, and for colleagues in science.
