Niclas Burenhult
Niclas Burenhult is a staff member in the Language and Cognition Group and Associate Professor of Linguistics at Lund University. His research interests include the relationship between language, culture and cognition, semantic typology, language documentation and description, and linguistic prehistory, with particular focus on Southeast Asia. He is a leading expert on the Aslian languages (Austroasiatic, Malay Peninsula), and he is research coordinator of the documentation project 'Tongues of the Semang', funded by the Volkswagen Foundation's DOBES program.
