My current research focuses on developing a screening tool for measuring language skills (e.g., lexical access, phonologic processing, etc.). One of the questions addressed is to what extend various linguistic skills are affected by general cognitive abilities (e.g., intelligence). The ultimate goal is to develop a brief battery of tests that is fast and easy to administer that taps into individual differences in language skills.
