My research targets second language (L2) acquisition and use, L2/bilingual processing, and gesture production and comprehension in L2 (and in first language) acquisition.
 
I coordinated the MPI project The Dynamics of Multilingual Processing together with Prof Peter Indefrey 2003-2009. I am co-founder of the Nijmegen Gesture Centre with Dr Asli Özyurek and co-coordinated it 2003- 2009. I also held a permanent position at Radboud University 2008-2009.
