Gertie Hoymann

Gertie Hoymann is a linguist and is currently working in the ǂAkhoe Haiǀǀom language documentation team within the DoBeS project (Documentation of Endangered Languages). ǂAkhoe Haiǀǀom is an endangered Khoekhoe language spoken in Northern Namibia.

Gertie Hoymann is also working on her dissertation in which she uses natural, everyday, conversational data to show the effect that the social organization of the speakers of ǂAkhoe Haiǀǀom has in certain areas of the use and structure of their language.
