My PhD research focuses on information structure in Avatime, a West-African Kwa language. I collect data during field trips to Ghana, where the language is spoken. I am especially interested in the semantics of information structure markers and the influence of information structure on syntax.
Aside from my PhD project I am also interested in language documentation and in the sociolinguistic aspects of multilingualism in Africa.
