Sylvia Tufvesson

My research interests include semantic typology, language and perception, expressives, as well as language documentation and description. I under-take fieldwork-based documentation of the central Aslian language Semai (Austroasiatic, Mon-Khmer), spoken on Peninsular Malaysia. My research focuses on the word class of expressives and the linguistic encoding of sensory perception.
