Searching the local corpus
To search within the local corpus, first select the node(s) in the local corpus to search in. Selecting the local corpus nodes will
result in searching the entire local corpus.
Right click any of the selected nodes and select 'Search' from the context menu. A new window named 'Search' will open.
Create one or more search clauses by specifying:
- A node type (default 'All' will search across all node types)
- (Optional) A column name. This is the column name in the multi-node table view or the field
name as it appears in the single node table view. Previously entered column names are available from the drop down menu
on this field. To remove one of the options, select it and, while the drop-down is showing, press SHIFT-Delete
- (Optional) A field value. Nodes will only match if any of the fields (or the field specified through column name) contains the
specified value. If left empty, any node of the specified type will match.
- Equality. This specifies whether search should return only matches (==) or only non-matches (!=).
Add search clauses using the '+' buttons and choose either 'And' or 'Or' combination.
Press search and wait for search to complete. The results will be shown in a table view below the search panel.
Searching the remote corpus
Searching the remote corpus differs in local search in that it requires a remote server search term. This search term will
determine the initial phase of search, which returns all sessions that, in any field, match the specified term. Then, then specified
search clauses (as described above) will be applied to narrow down search.
