Relation Type Definitions (Panels menu > Diagram Settings)
When selecting this tab a sub-table opens. The options of this sub-table displayed are not mandatory, but if used they may prove useful to simplify and clarify the diagram layout. These options are:
Custom Name: in this column you can enter the name that you want to give to a particular relation.
Data Category: in this column you can enter an URL pointing to a DCR (Data Category Registry) Id, i.e. a page containing some additional information about the relation types.
Relation Type: as the name says, in this column you can select a relation type (sibling, union, etc.), choosing among the various possibilities present in the drop down menu. If you do not want to do it "manually", you can select Scan For Types under the colour table on the right of the page. It will automatically find all the relation types of your diagram and enter them directly in the column "Relation Type".
Line Colour: you can choose a different colour (from the table on the right) for each one of the relation types present in your diagram. The sanguine lines connecting the entities will get coloured accordingly.
Line Width: this option allows you to change the width of the sanguine lines, which will get thicker or thinner depending on the millimetres you choose.
Line/Dash: through this option you can have a solid line or a dashed line. In the latter case, you can also decide how big the dashes need to be.
Curve Line Orientation: this option applies to the relation type 'other', and it has to do with, as the name says, the orientation of the line linking two entities. You can have either a 'horizontal', or a 'vertical' line orientation [in the first case the line start from a horizontal position, whereas in the second case it starts from a vertical position].
