Embark on a language adventure with your child

On Saturday 3 October, from 9:30 to 12:00, our institute will be buzzing with activities during Weekend van de Wetenschap. Baby & Child Research Centre and Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics are organising a morning full of hands-on language science for families, young children, grandparents, and curious minds of all ages.
Here’s a selection of our activities:
- Try out an eye-tracker together
- Listen to a story with your child in the story-time corner
- Discover how we measure brain activity in babies and children
- Join a short ‘Baby Chat’ on language development
- Take part in the language game ‘Copy Me!’
Let your kids become junior scientists for a day, and meet the researchers working on young children’s language development.
