Entrance at the Weekend van de Wetenschap in the Brein Museum
On 4 October 2025, our researchers represented our institute at the Weekend van de Wetenschap at the Brain Museum. They engaged with families and helped spark curiosity about our research.

Visitors could explore a variety of activities, including DNA isolation, Language on the move, Bake a nasty cake, Recreate me, Brain table, Eyetracking Demo, VR Demo, and the Mini-Cinema. The event attracted around 500 visitors and received very positive feedback from attendees!

Bake a nasty cake: children tested their memory while creatively adding more unusual ingredients to a “nasty” cake.

Eyetracking Demo: participants experienced how an eyetracking headset works while following a maze challenge.

Language on the move: a fun session discovering what cha-cha-cha and tea have in common.

VR Demo: exploring how hand gestures can help you respond faster.

Brain table: a fun dice game in which children linked animals through their colors, habitats, and fur characteristics.

Mini-Cinema: children watched Klokhuis episodes exploring body language, bilingualism, and stuttering.
