European grand prize and audience award for Kletskoppen
On Friday 14 November, the seven nominees presented their entries at the Living Languages Congress. This year's theme was “from word to world”.
Big winner
The grand prize and the audience award went to Kletskoppen, a collaboration between Radboud University and the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. This is a project that could inspire the linguists of the future. Primary school pupils experience how fascinating and fun language can be at school and during a festival in their local library. Among other things, they learn to investigate linguistic questions and to collect and analyse data. In doing so, the pupils themselves also become language experts, thanks to the knowledge of the different languages they speak at home.
