MINT 2026, the workshop on Multimodal Interaction in Face-to-Face Dialogue, is a new addition to our event calendar. MINT is co-located with EMNLP 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

Taking place within the conference window of 24–29 October 2026, MINT focuses on one of the field’s most exciting challenges: enabling AI to understand real-world, in-person communication by combining speech, gesture, gaze, and other modalities. The workshop brings together researchers across natural language processing, computer vision, and human-computer interaction to push beyond text-only systems.

Participation is managed through EMNLP: attendees can join by registering for the main conference and selecting the workshop. Researchers interested in presenting can submit their work via OpenReview, with a key paper deadline of 9 July 2026.

More details, including updates and submission information, are available on the official website: https://mintworkshop.github.io/2026/
