İrem Özen is a third-year undergraduate Psychology student at Boğaziçi University.

Before joining the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, İrem worked as a student research assistant in different labs focusing on language development and fear conditioning. Her research interests lie in cognitive neuroscience, neuropsycholinguistics, and cognitive development in language acquisition.

At the Multimodal Language Department, İrem joins as a research trainee for the summer. During her traineeship, she looks forward to gaining hands-on experience, exploring multimodal communication research, and learning from the team.

In her free time, İrem is an active member of her university's athletics team and enjoys running and training regularly. She also has a keen interest in photography, loves exploring different art forms, and is currently learning French.
