Paul Hömke

I am a PhD researcher in the INTERACT Group within the Language and Cognition Department. I am interested in functions of non-verbal, bodily behavior in everyday social interaction, and more broadly, in the interplay between language, culture, and cognition. In my PhD research I study social and cognitive functions of bodily listener behavior in face-to-face communication (e.g. facial expressions, eye blinking) from an interdisciplinary perspective, combining observational and experimental methods (e.g. using virtual reality).
