Nicole Ng

I am PhD candidate at the Language and Genetics Department (room A247) under the supervision of Beate St Pourcain. My research to date has focused on using the Mendelian randomization methodology to investigate the long-term health outcomes of early childhood exposures such as childhood maltreatment and childhood onset asthma. During my PhD, I hope to continue expanding on my toolbox of analytical methods for integrating and analysing large population-based cohorts and population level genetic data. Specifically, through using Mendelian randomization and structural equation modelling, I hope to investigate the genetic, social, and behavioural the heterogeneity of childhood social behaviour, as well as its long-term impacts.
