ERP - LabsThe Institute has two fully equipped laboratories for electrophysiological research, one with a 64 channel EEG recording system, the other with a 32 channel system. Recordings are done from a variable series of electrodes (tin or Ag/AgCl) which are inserted into electrocaps. In both labs visual and auditory stimuli can be presented. The ERPs are recorded with participants seated in a sound attenuated booth. The signals are amplified and stored on a dedicated data-processing computer system for further off-line analysis. A software package has been developed for this purpose by the programmer of the Neurocognition of Language Processing project. |
