Eye Tracker 1

Technical Details
  • 2 PC's as master and slave systems, connected by RS232 ports
  • RS232 serial lines for data exchange and control lines for slave operating mode.
  • Master PC reads input script and shows stimuli to subject. Also controls the slave.
  • Script file entries control the flow of the experiment.
  • Master PC reads pushbuttons (Subject pushes it), buttons used during Calibration and text reading.
  • Images shown by master PC are *.PLA images created by our PLA editor under windows.
  • Slave PC follows the right eye and, on request, saves the data into eXtended Memory. The amount of memory determines sample time.
  • Eye lighting with an infrared light source (LED array). Seen by a CCD chip via infrared mirror and optics.
  • Eye following with a scan rate of 200Hz (selectable from 100 Hz to 240 Hz)
  • Eye tracking with internal adjustable mirror.
  • Tracking based on two parallel lines through a circle. Algorithm determines center with 4 cross points lines/circle
  • Software Master/slave developed at Max Planck Institute, Nijmegen
  • Analyze software from AMTech or user group.
