The Metadata Descriptions Tree panel allows you to navigate through the corpus hierarchy. It serves the following three purposes:
The hierarchy of nodes allows you to easily navigate through the corpus to the session data (see Section 2.3.1 and Section 2.3.2).
Pull-down menus and the five buttons at the bottom of the panel allow you to select parts of the corpus for purposes of conducting searches (see Section 2.3.3).
The linking of metadata, media and annotation files at the session level allows you to immediately access all relevant data (see Section 2.3.4).
