Research data

In order to participate in one of our studies, you must first provide informed consent. If we ask you to participate in one of our studies, you will always receive information about the study before you are asked to confirm whether you want to participate. Your participation in any of our studies will only be on voluntary basis and will only proceed once you have signed the consent form for that particular study. The data we will gather during research will always be stored separately from your personal information. Information about the storage of these data and who you can contact about your aforementioned rights will always be given to you before the particular study on a separate information form.

The reason for gathering these data will be described in the study information. The data will only be used for research objectives. The study information will advise you as to how long the data will be saved and, if applicable, with whom the data will be shared.

In order to pay you, we will also process your payment information. This information will be processed by our financial department and will not be linked to your research data. The legal basis for processing your data (BSN, IBAN, address) for accounting purposes are the mandatory requirements of the ‘Belastingdienst’. This information will be stored for 10 years.
