The latest edition of the German/French TV programme 'Arte' features Sonja Vernes, leader of the MPI Neurogenetics of Vocal Communication research group.
Vernes and PhD student Ella Lattenkamp talk about their research into vocal learning and bats.
The Neurogenetics of Vocal Communication Research Group studies the genetics of vocal communication in mammals, as a way to understand the evolution and biological basis of human speech and language.
