World-renowned philosopher Professor Daniel C. Dennett will deliver the Nijmegen Lectures on October 15 and 16, 2018

Daniel Dennett is Professor of Philosophy and Co-Director of the Centre for Cognitive Studies at Tufts University in the United States. Dennett will be in Nijmegen to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Radboud University on Thursday October 18, 2018. We are happy that world-renowned philosopher Professor Daniel C. Dennett has accepted to deliver the Nijmegen Lectures about Autonomy, Language, and Consciousness.

The Nijmegen Lectures is an annual event hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour and the Centre for Language Studies of the Radboud University Nijmegen. It showcases the best research in linguistics from around the world. Previous lecturers include Elena Lieven (Manchester University), Gary Dell (University of Illinois), David Poeppel (New York University), and Elizabeth Spelke and Susan Carey (Harvard University).

Registration for this event is closed, as the Radboud Aula and the MPI auditorium are fully booked, but the public lectures in the morning can be followed via live-stream.
