Privacy statement participants

In order to participate in our research, we need certain information from you. We store this information in our database. The database is located on a secure server within the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. Only a select group of employees has access to the database. These are employees of the Radboud University Nijmegen and the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, who are based at the Max Planck Institute.

We keep your personal data in our database indefinitely. However, you can unsubscribe at any moment (through https:/www.mpi.nl/ppregeng). We will then make your personal data (name, (email) address, phone number) invisible in our database. Your other data (e.g. language background) will still be visible to the employees.

The legal basis for the processing of the personal data described above is your consent. You give your consent by registering as a participant through https:/www.mpi.nl/ppregeng.

If you wish to view or change your personal data, you can go to https:/www.mpi.nl/ppregeng. If you wish to have your data deleted, or if you wish to limit the use of this data, please contact us. We will ensure that your request is carried out within 1 month. You also have the right to withdraw your consent. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your data if you have a legitimate concern. For all cases described above, please contact us at experimenten [at] mpi.nl (experimenten[at]mpi[dot]nl). The responsible supervisory body is the Bayerische Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Postfach 606, 91511 Ansbach, Germany.

Research data

Should we ask you to participate in a study, you will always receive information about the study. Your participation is voluntary and you give your consent by signing a separate consent form. You only participate in the study if you have given informed consent. The data we collect during the investigation will always be stored separately from your personal data. Information about the storage of this data and who you need to approach in regard to your rights described above, will be given to you in the information sheet for the relevant study.
