I graduated Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia) in 2013 with the degree of Specialist (analog to MSc) in vertebrate zoology. In the following years, I combined study of animal behaviour (vocal communication and development in cranes) as a part-time researcher in the Department of Vertebrate Zoology of LMSU with the position of Leading Specialist in the Laboratory of Gene Engineering at the National Research Center for Hematology (Moscow, Russia). In this position, I worked on genetic counseling and molecular diagnostics of various types of porphyria.
Currently, I have the honour to be a PhD Student in the Comparative Bioacoustics research group of Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. My project is focused on the anatomy and physiology of seal vocal behaviour, which allows me to combine my two biggest scientific passions: bioacoustics and the anatomy of vertebrates.
