I am PhD student within the Language Development Department of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, supervised by Prof. Dr. Caroline Rowland, Dr. Elsje van Bergen and Dr. Hans Fredrik Sunde. My research focuses on the causes of individual differences in the early vocabulary development of monolingual children. I use concepts and methods from behavioral genetics to investigate the role of family-related factors, such as the language skills of parents, in explaining the variation in children’s vocabulary skills.
