Morgane Peirolo

I am a PhD student (2022-2026) working in the Psychology of Language department under the supervision of prof. Antje Meyer and dr. Candice Frances.

Before starting at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, I graduated from Aix-Marseille University with a Bachelor in Psychology and a Master in Cognitive Science

My master thesis was conducted at the Laboratoire Parole et Langage under the supervision of prof. Elin Runnqvist and dr. Amie Fairs. We investigated the impact of grounded learning on categorical perception of colours, using behavioural online experiments and event-related potentials to track lexicalization processes.

My current PhD project focuses on how prosody interacts with other components involved in language processing. We plan to approach this question both through production and perception
