I am a PhD student at the Max Planck School of Cognition, pursuing my doctoral studies within the Language Development Department of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. My PhD project, supervised by Prof. Dr. Caroline Rowland and Dr. Yayun Zhang, investigates the social origin of sign language acquisition and the role of visual attention, individual differences, and developmental changes. Using naturalistic data, Eye Tracking and neuroimaging techniques, I aim to understand the differences and similarities in the ways signers and non-signers employ visual attention in language acquisition processes.
