I am a PhD student in the Language Development Department, working on cross-linguistic influence (CLI) and priming in bilingual language development under the supervision of Professor Evan Kidd and Dr. Sharon Unsworth. In my research project, I am examining the effect of language dominance on CLI and priming during online language processing in Irish-English bilingual children. My goal is to better understand how children use and learn these typologically different languages throughout development.
I am currently also investigating the use of several morphosyntactic forms in spoken Irish Gaelic in adults across Ireland.
